This is an example of a first- and middle-name campaign. It’s just like a single-name campaign, but in a two-name campaign, both are added together. A two-name campaign requires donations for both names.
The mother can preview the name selection at any time during the campaign. At the bottom of each name group is a sub-total, with the final totals shown.
Note that there are no campaigns for last names.
The following example shows how funds are calculated for each name. Based on what’s selected, all the funds at or below that name are for the new mom. Meanwhile, funds above the chosen name will be directed towards the non-profit charity of their choice. For instance, if Bobby is selected, only the first $500 from each of the other names will go towards the mom. However, if the amount for a name is under $500, such as $200 for Edward, the total amount will be applied toward the mom.
The above example shows how much the mother would get at 0% of incoming donations going to charity.
If 10% was chosen for the donations going to charity, then those values change:
1st place Alex = $2,880. $320 for charity. (10% + $0 difference).
3rd place Howard = $2,480. $680 for charity. (10% + $400 difference).
4th place Bobby = $1,880. $1,320 for charity. (10% + $1000 difference).
No matter the selected name, the donated funds ONLY go to the mother and charities!
The mother-to-be can see how her funds will change depending on the name at any time.
